Attaching a Cracker

Replacing a worn or dislodged cracker is a simple task that can be easily performed by any whip handler. The following photographs, using an enlarged cracker for demonstration purposes, are self-explanatory with respect to the methodology.

Step 1

Form a loop at the top of the fall with the loose end (the end furthest from the thong) on top. Open a hole at the end of the cracker and pass the cracker down through the looped fall.

Now bring the hole in the cracker up over the end of the fall.

Step 3

Pull the resulting knot as tight as you can. A few test cracks and your whip is ready for use.
